1. Preview our facility in person - this will help you to visualize the size of space you need, and familiarize yourself with the set-up of the facility. Confirm locker size and availability, be all set for moving day.

2. Inquire about proper moving supplies - we sell mattress bags, wardrobe boxes (to hang your clothes in) , clean packing paper, shrink wrap, various packing boxes and packing tape, dispensers and locks.

3. Allow us to arrange your mover - from your home to your storage locker in a snap, we'll take care of you. Our professional movers drive a properly equipped new truck with all the right dollies, a furniture tie-down system and lots of straps and padded blankets to keep your things safe on their ride over.

4. Please do not store - any food items (including pet foods), explosive or flammable items.

5. Wool carpets and clothing - carpets should be properly cleaned and wrapped in plastic for storage, and clothing should be stored in proper cardboard boxes for breathability and protection. Use moth balls.

6. Pack boxes full - to avoid collapsing or tipping.

7. Insurance confirmation - contact your home insurance provider to be certain your valuables will be covered while in storage. The storage facility is not responsible for the goods in your locker.

8. Label and organize boxes - be sure to make a list of what items are stored in your locker, and to make things easier store frequently used items near the door of your unit, and pack more valuable items to the rear behind heavier furniture items.

9. Dishes and Glassware - place a layer of packing paper at the bottom and top of all boxes containing glassware. All items should be individually wrapped. Nest one item into another. Fill all spaces with packing paper and place more fragile items at the top of the box.

10. Shrink wrap furniture items - to avoid scratching during the move. It's easy and cheap to do, and you'll be happy when your furniture arrives without marks.
